as promised...

SA GATHERING AT SILOSO BEACH RESORT..

K-STER SESSION WITH MY BROTHER..

then i went to pre-purchase the latest JAY CHOU cd: STILL FANTASY..

AILING'S FIRST DAY AT WORK..

HAD TAIWAN PORRIDGE FOR DINNER TODAY...

above are the pictures taken over the past week.. as it gets closer to the start of my internship, i can't help but feel solemn. but one good thing is that i'll be working on shifts. and therefore i will not be so bounded by my work.

really hope to be able to meet up with my close friends before internship starts.. but running out of time le..

melvin and nelson started their army life today. i wonder how are they doing now.. are they in the same camp? it'll be good if they are.. => but really can't imagine the k- partner.. who's always attempting to sing jay chou songs.. crawling in the mud.. and can't imagine the lunch and dinner and com lab partner doing synchronised marching... hmm..

everyone is starting a new life.. tim started his internship, ailing started hers, i'm starting mine, everyone is. wish everyone all the best.

another 3 to 4 days before i officially start my internship. but i feel deeply for my dear friend who started her internship on yesterday (wed). i mean, she had to leave next monday, which is the day i will be starting my internship.

i'm kinda mentally prepared for my internship, going through the training, meeting new people, and beginning the new chapter of my life. however, the news of her leaving on the day i start really left me thinking about a lot of things: thinking about how she's going to handle the inflow of info about the hotels over there, will she be doing fine, will she be able to adjust to the lifestyle there, thinking about communication means. i'm on the other hand not prepared to see her leave.

although it's just an internship, it is also somewhat another way of really getting in touch with the working world. hopefully, this experience will give all of us a better idea of the kind of job that really suits us. sigh, i just can't seem to pen down my feeling about this whole internship.

btw, i'll be working under Cathay Pacific, in the airport. so i'll be able to send her off next monday. honestly, i'm thinking a lot about what i'm going to do during my internship to sustain my relationship with as many ppl as possible. firstly, im not someone who takes initiatives. secondly, there's actually not many who are my friends.. so.. hmm..

this week is the week before my internship, (yes, i know i have said that quite a couple of times..) but i can't believe i'm still working at Waraku 5 days this week. i didn't ask for the shift, i was allocated.. i have no say.. sad. am not able to have a proper rest.

for my next post, i'll post some pics of the SA gathering we had at the siloso beach resort, and the k session with my brother, and the dinner on ailing's first day at work. =>

ailing, mich and i, for the first time decided something within 10 mins, and bought a puzzle for van's bd prezzie within 5 mins. haha. and we did it in less than 2 hours. hehe.

steamboat session at yin san's house to early celebrate her birthday as she will not be in singapore then.. and then the ppl played uno stacko, snake and ladder, and twister..

it's dinnertime!!

the affinity between arthur and i.. since sec 3.. haha.

it's twister time!! (raudah, jonathan, yin san and arthur)

happy super early birthday yin san!!

as i have promised earlier.. here's the picture of our attempt at the potato salad.. ta da!!

one big pot of potato salad.. yummy..

went to TAS for the beach party.. the music was good.. didn't try the food though. too angry and upset to do anything else. really have the urge to just leave everything as it is and dun bother about anything at all. i am making an effort to make things go well, but seems like non is appreciating the effort. it's all right really, but i just dun like it when ppl dun respect me. come on, i also have feelings okie. forget it.

anything that's on my mind is regarding someone that's close to my heart. i'm quite sad to know that my words are not as convincing as others, i'm upset my words weight lesser than others and she listen to them, i'm sad to know i'm not the first person to get the latest news from the person, i am jealous that others know more about the happenings of this person than me. perhaps it has always been a one-sided affair. perhaps i'm looking too deep into the matter. perhaps, it's just me.

no matter how close i try to be with a person, i can nv maintain the relationship.. at least it has nv been till now, and i think if i were to regret about something in life, that is not having a truly close friend that shares the happenings of our lives with each other.. having a friend as the first person you would like to share your happiness and problems with. having observed the 'one-sided affair', i sudden feel lonely, feeling lost without anyone to really turn to and talk.

currently at ailing's place, waiting for ailing to get ready before we make our way to sentosa for the beach party at TAS!!! haha.. and we just finished making the potato salad for tmr's SA gathering.. and YEAH!! it was a success.. haha.. i'll post up the picture of it soon.

i've decided not to pursue the matter anymore.. and i hope i can put it down without thinking about it again.. sometimes i just can't help but think about it when i'm alone, or stoning.. oh well. you can't really control your brain cells can you. if not why are we not able to remember the things we memorise for exams??!! haha..

btw, i just read that siti nurhaliza married the owner of takashimaya.. wth right.. so smart of her to marry a rich man. sigh.

"you look slimmer today" was a line said to me, something that i thought will brigthen up my day after the bad happenings of yesterday and today. the two papers were quite bad. ya.

Although i got very little confidence in my paper, thanks for all your help.

Although it happened 2 years ago, i'm suddenly disturbed by what i hear and see.

"Have You Ever"
Sometimes it's wrong to walk away, though you think it's over
Knowing there's so much more to say
Suddenly the moment's gone
And all your dreams are upside down
And you just wanna change the way the world goes round
Tell me, have you ever loved and lost somebody
Wished there was a chance to say I'm sorry
Can't you see, that's the way I feel about you and me, Baby
Have you ever felt your heart was breaking
Lookin down the road you should be taking
I should know, cos I loved and lost the day I let you go
Can't help but think that this is wrong, we should be together
Back in your arms where I belong
Now I've finally realised it was forever that I've found
I'd give it all to change the way the world goes round
Tell me, have you ever loved and lost somebody
Wished there was a chance to say I'm sorry
Can't you see, that's the way I feel about you and me, Baby
Have you ever felt your heart was breaking
Lookin down the road you should be taking
I should know, cos I loved and lost the day I let you go
I really wanna hear you say that you know just how it feels
To have it all and let it slip away, can't you see
Even though the moment's gone, I'm still holding on somehow
Wishing I could change the way the world goes round
Tell me, have you ever loved and lost somebody
Wished there was a chance to say I'm sorry (I'm sorry)
Can't you see, (ohhh) that's the way I feel about you and me, Baby
Have you ever felt your heart was breaking
Lookin down the road you should be taking
I should know, (I should know) cos I loved and lost the day I let
Yes I loved and lost the day I let
Yes I loved and lost the day I let you go
just a thought. dun worry. it's nothing.
it was pouring this evening, and it gave me a reason to go late for work, not on purpose of course. while waiting for the rain to get less heavy, i observed a number of people and became envious of them. i do not have to know the background of the person. what matters most is that moment that you are spending with your love ones and yourself.
was serving at mahbubani's dinner just now. one of the guest was a survivor from the tsunami at Maldives. she shared her experience. and the funny thing is wad another guest said. she said if there can be architecture for earthquake, there can also be one for tsunami. then others ask how, and she reply, "we can consider convertible houses that can float on the water" wad a comment.

finally finished one paper... two more to go.. it was kinda like green day yesterday.. plus, i had to sleep and and still get up early to fetch wei sheng, clifton, alan and jonathan to sch. on the way to jonathan's place, alan played a joke by calling him and said, "hey john, we are going to be late, so you take cab and go sch yourself. we are on TPE already." it was super funny.. and you could guess his reaction.. "THIS IS NOT VERY NICE OF YOU ALL YOU KNOW!" haha.. sorry boss. btw, the time was 8.45am. no wonder the reaction. ;p

looking at the picture.. u should know what i mean.. hhaha...

the night before the paper, i went to rent a car, for the purpose of a product launch that was held in conrad. then, i was the chauffeur, went to pick alan, jonathan and junie for the event, AND, back home too..

the beautiful display of the wine glasses..

the car that i rented.. took it after i returned it.. talking about the inconvenience of not having a car.. but, petrol is damn ex!!

junie and i at the conrad event, waiting to get it and attack the wine and food.. haha.. btw, she's a HTM junior.. =>

after OB paper, mich, ailing and i went to waraku for lunch, then at night, we went to RJC to watch RI guitar emsemble concert.. well, guitars are hard to co-ordinate, so can't blame for the lack of cohesiveness.. omg, i guess OB is still kinda stuck in my head..

ailing at i at the atrium of RJC, waiting for my brother.. and my god, the ppl there are so hardworking la!! it was 10 plus at night and there were still a handful of ppl around the school, STUDYING. but then again, they are from RAFFLES. they are suppose to be hardworking, or be smart.. haha.. no offense.

back to the books soon, i mean to waraku.. to work... tata.

it's the week of study time.. for the last exam of the semester, and before my internship starts..

i'll be attached to the airport under Cathay Pacific, something that i have been looking forward to. i mean working in the airport. however, i cannot continue studying Jap during the internship period as it is a shift work thing. =<

heavy burden to clear my debt now. although debtors are not rushing me for the money, i feel really bad about it. dad is back for one week. but everyone seem to be too busy for a family gathering. (except for the first night when i didn't go to wok just to have dinner with the family)

the presentations done for this semesters with my beloved groupmates are my greatest pride. love you guys!! we should go out for another group's nightout ya??

and there was the night when a group of us went to watch the fireworks. too bad yi xiu couldn't join us.

and then there was another HTMIG AY04/05 gathering..

it's time to get back to my books...

okie.. okie.. i know.. april 3rd to now is a full 2 months and 6 days.. i shall update you guys with wadever pics that i have on hand now..

there was the Food and Hotel Asia during the first week of school where i worked for the US Meat Federation, for Mich's dad.. together with Mich, Lulu, celest, Karin, vanessa and Nelson, we had fun sweating moving the equipments, and smelling like sausages and bacon. (yes, we skipped school) haha.. had fun.. then went to be the guest diner for the Dream Team Challenge.. sat with this F&B mag editor.. so john and i had to be professional in our actions and words.. looking at the standards.. i believe SA will be able to send a team in with good practices put into it.. =)

in the month of may, everyone seem to be able to speak to anyone from our course.. of course, it's regarding SIP. seeing random people wearing formal wear, the feeling is worrying. worried about our own placement.. but after a few interviews, i chose Cathay Pacific. =)

then there was my cousin's wedding.. the bride is pretty.. and i heard that she's pregnant.. hmm..

my cousin (Andy Lau, yes that's his name..), his bride, and my family..

the female cousins, the ugly side.. and we were shouting "HUAT AH!!"

my sis and I !!

there was one night when john treated ailing and i to dinner at manhattan.. after which, we went to watch X MEN: THE LAST STAND!! the thing is.. we sat at the third row.. from the front.. oh well.. let's not talk about it..

and then... there was the dinner for which we celebrated our grandfather's birthday.. we had a great feast.. and you should have seen the birthday cake... it was in the shape of a huge 寿桃.. damn big.. and my mom and uncles were fighting to sing at the karaoke.. haha..

then it's my turn!! my birthday was spent with my family.. we went to keppel road to eat ba ku teh for breakfast.. that was with my mom, dad and brother.. but my dad had to go back to indo in the afternoon..

papa and i...

mama and i...

shawn and i...

then shawn and i went to the esplanade to watch RI's performing arts concert..

us at the esplanade...

just when i thought that it's another year when i'll have no cake.. i got a surprise from gayna, yin san, clifton, jeff, linda and nicholas.. thanks so much guys..

me making a wish.. with clifton at the background..

and then last saturday, karin, mich, ailing and i went to stay at Conrad.. ailing and i went to check in first and guess wad we did..

yes.. we took pics in the toilet...

on the bed..

another one on the bed.. emphasizing the size of the bed.. huge right!!

caught in action in the bathtub!!

it was an eye-opener... staying in a local hotel.. we went to TAMAKO.. at meridien shopping centre for dinner.. and we had a lot of cucumber and enoki maki.. hehe..

then yesterday night after our exams... ailing and i went on a "date"... we went to haagen dazs for dessert after dinner..

our first time trying out the fondue...

we had a great time... can see from our smiles right.. =)

today was quite a long day...

has SA meeting from 10am to 3.30pm.. had to come up with an important proposal. had quite a few issues that arised.. but i hope that all can be settled peacefully..

worked at the Cleo's Eligible Bachelors Party at the Ministry of Sound just now.. quite an interesting exposure for me.. was part of the catering team.. got to see the 50 guys.. in a rather surprising manner.. i was bringing a pile of food out of the VIP room.. then i was shocked by the 50 guys who were waiting outside the room.. and all were like eyeing on the food as i walk through them.. then after passing through, i thought i had missed my turn and walked back again.. then all the eyes on the food again.. then i realise that.. it's wrong again.. then i walked through them AGAIN.. and this time.. this guy ( i think it was michael leh) said stop tempting them with the food.. and i was like.. superly superly paiseh..

then in the crowd.. this another guy ( i think it was Tedric Ling) held my hand and passed me an empty beer bottle and said thanks.. i was like.. oh.. okie.. haha.. but overall it was funny.. and saw andy lee.. dressing was kinda off.. and mark zee.. okie looking only.. haha.. it was really an eye-opener for me tonight.. and the pay was not bad..

Our first SA event went quite smoothly, with a few hiccups here and there.. other than that.. all was fine.. thank all SA EXCO for making it a success..

scalded my hand last week while working.. till now.. it looks damn ugly.. sad..

something happened to my mom earlier this week.. and dad stayed for another 2 more days before leaving for indonesia again..

things and people changes over time.. and it's really nice to know that at least someone is still there to listen and talk to me when i'm feeling down and confused. thanks AL..

live with a clear conscience.. and that's wad i've been doing..

updates on life after the exams..

attended my brother's prefect investiture.. the setting was quite grand.. like in harry potter movie's school hall.. and the head master was telling us the story of Lord of the Rings.. and the finale, the singing to the melody of "under the sea"... oh well..

then met up with yixiu at TM to book the place for our "honeymoon" trip to cameron and KL in march.. had tepanyaki for dinner at TM.. and there was a cute looking chef working there.. haha.. bet yixiu had enough of me talking about him..

then on sat, we went to "tamako", a jap restaurant at orchard area after work.. with my colleagues.. at first all of us were concerned with our budget cos haven get pay.. but after that.. we began to relax and started to 'snatch' food..

now i wish i have a digital camera.. finepix would be a good choice..

with a digital cam.. i can capture all the fun times i have with everyone.. till then..

the pic above is the pic taken for my portfolio for my modelling job.. of course cannot be compared with those model models.. but at least it is another source of income for me..

i have been doing nothing much these few days.. except fetching my brother to and fro school on certain days.. watching tv the whole afternoon.. and working only at night.. except for thursday..

went to work at the STB award event.. was involved in the kitchen, being the runner for the different zones.. for 5.50 per hour.. we work like cows.. running up and down the different levels of the esplanade.. topping up the food at the different zones that were attacked by "beasts" the moment the food land on the table.. there was no drinking water for us.. and we couldn't use the lift for a period of time.. the crowd was overwhelming.. omg.. and all for 5.50.. haha.. soo ling and arthur and i kept harping on it.. but it was truly an experience, helping in the kitchen rather than the usual service.. and i got an SIA hairdo!! haha.. they even got makeup artist to do the makeup and hair for the service staff.. but we kitchen gals get to enjoy the benefit too.. yeah!! but ailing was having a hard time managing her "butterfly" hairdo that kept falling down.. haha.. but, i believed all of us had fun..

next week will be working marathon.. working full shift 3 out of the 5 days... but.. there's the SA meeting on monday to look forward to.. the bbq with HTM and HTB IG on wed.. and my dad's return on thurs!!
