think i better do something about my blog before fungus starts to grow here...


last post ended the year 2008... and so this marks the start of a new year: 2009.


was in hongkong with siaw ling.. with our curry fishball and mango dessert... a must-have in hongkong...

on new year's eve, we made our way to the airport.. going on to san francisco... roads were blocked and so we had to walk a distance to the area where the bus was waiting for us... a nice long walk indeed...

this is in san francisco's fishermens wharf... dinner here with my cousin susanna and her family...

don and pricilla, my wonderful nephew and niece...

and this of course is my cousin.. think the last time i came to visit was in feb last year...

that's the phua family... dun u think the gals look alike and the guys look alike??

and it's 12!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!! funny thing was.. there wasn't really a countdown... everyone just started cheering when the fireworks came on...

look at them... this is probably wad they call 幸福的感觉... when u are with ur loved ones...

went back to their place... slept till noon... woke up for lunch and mahjong... and this is my nicest set of tiles ever...

don kinda got me hooked up with wii's guitar hero... he's damn pro.

watched tv till late at night... and being a nice aunt, i cooked noodles for them...

found one whole box of indo mie.. dear's fav... and of course mine too now... 2 of them had 3 packs... and we even had fruits after the supper!!

before leaving them, they brought me to this restaurant that sells really nice noodles... almost similar taste to the ones we have in singapore... guess this is where asians will go when they crave for asian food...

back to hongkong... and wanted to try this restaurant.. but it was closed for renovation...

had dinner in this restaurant instead... the signbboard looks fantastic.. but the food... not good at all.

super nice mee mee who finds me amusing... and siaw ling who was pushed to finish up the food..

met jav who just discharged from hospital the afternoon that i met him... together with ailing and zifu and jingmin... linda came and join as soon after... haven't met these guys for quite some time... and it's really nice to just soak myself in the cheery conversation...

met up with my 4850 gang... had dinner at ehub... but ended up in gavin's place in jurong west... cos he has a entertainment room in his place... and decided to check that out..

he has his own karaoke system in the entertainment room.. wii.. and playstation i think.. dvd player.. a hell lot of money invested in this room...

woohoo!! love my self-take picture skill.. hee.. random shot but majority of the ppl were actually looking over too...

found out he has guitar hero too!!! hee...

got everyone to try...

think gav's too stress.. haha.. just joking.. we were at the wii fit.. and he was just trying out one of the yoga position.. cool...

met bel for lunch at the bah kut teh place in keppel... then made our way to marina square for k with audrey...

doesn't it seem like national day to u??

school started... and more stress coming in too... so before everything gets too stressed up for me, i went over to nanjing to get my dose of anti-stress hugs and kisses... hee..

oooookay... i know... i know....

guess wad... had indian food in china!! and the food's really not too bad i must say...

the guardian here is not called guardian.. even the name sounds abit chiong.. haa...

and of course... green tea frap... with my dear's mocha frap... hee..

caught the red cliff 2 here in china... the seats were actually rocking chairs!! hee.. great experience.. and all at half price...

and on the last night there... we cooked dinner for ourselves... curry chicken.. yummy.. and luncheon meat, veg and roti prata.. hee...

and reunion dinner for us at home on the 24th... the second time we used the pot.. first was last year during CNY as well.. hee..

this yr's CNY is almost going to be spent in bombay.. but a gal changed with me.. so i'm gonna be in melbourne for CNY... CNY without visiting is really different... empty and lost feeling... miss the festive atmosphere.. and my grandma's soup.. (she always cook 1 big pot cos she knows i love to drink her soup).. and the longevity bun she always brings back from the temple and steam them for me... i miss my grandma...

and i miss my dear too.. lots and lots..
